Many people are not familiar with the English Cream Retriever breed. They are not just a light colored Golden Retriever. While there are lots of similarities between the two different breeds, English Cream Retrievers tend to be smaller, healthier and have a longer life span. Cancer rates in English Cream Retrievers are almost half of a Golden Retriever. They are highly intelligent and easier to train overall. Keep in mind that they are retrievers and tend to pick up any object that may be near to them when their "person" comes home. A good game of catch can keep these dogs entertained for hours. They also love to be in water. They can learn up to approximately 240 verbal commands.
The latest addition to our fur family is our black Labrador Kalani. She is 2 years old and has the biggest love for car rides. If she hears a set of keys jingle she is waiting at the door. She loves to go for walks in the woods and find the deep spots in the creek. She will be giving us babies with our boy Brody. I like to call the babies Creamadors. No matter what the name is, I'm sure they will all be soft little bundles of love. I have always loved the two breeds and figured if I put them together it would make an incredible combination.
